Stillpoint is built on contrast. The lamps, promenade, pilings, and distant architecture remain fixed while the gondolas move on their lines and the lagoon flows beneath them. Photographed at sunrise toward San Giorgio Maggiore, the long exposure stretches the passing clouds across the sky and turns movement into structure.
